Mission
Bengal Fine Arts College is committed to providing quality education in the disciplines of Painting and Sculpture through a learner-centric and studio-based pedagogical approach that integrates practical training with theoretical knowledge, critical thinking, and creative exploration. Objectives
- To impart comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate education in Fine Arts with specialisations in Painting and Sculpture.
- To nurture creativity, originality, aesthetic sensibility, and technical excellence through systematic studio practice and academic learning.
- To transact the curriculum by integrating practical training, theoretical understanding, art history, aesthetics, and critical inquiry.
- To encourage experimentation with traditional, modern, and contemporary artistic media, techniques, and methodologies.
- To preserve, promote, and reinterpret the artistic and cultural heritage of India while fostering awareness of global artistic developments.
- To promote research, innovation, documentation, publication, and scholarly discourse in the field of visual arts.
